MiR Children’s Choir
Our children’s choir is aimed at boys and girls aged between 8 and 12 who would like to get a taste of musical theatre through singing. Under the guidance of choir director Veronika Haller and vocal coach Ute Dahlke, the young singers rehearse weekly at the MiR. After a while, they will then be able to take part in opera performances alongside the professionals.
MiR Children’s Choir
In partnership with the Gelsenkirchen Municipal Music School, boys and girls aged between 8 and 12 who are keen on theatre are introduced to singing and music. In weekly rehearsals, the young singers work on a varied (operatic) repertoire, with a view to later sharing the stage with the professionals at the MiR. The MiR Children’s Choir has already appeared in ‘Hansel and Gretel’ and ‘La Bohème’ and will feature in ‘Wozzeck’ and ‘Tosca’ during the 2026–27 season
