Sticky Fragments
Performance collective
Sticky Fragments – In good Company is a performance collective based in the Ruhr region that operates at the intersection of physical theatre, visual arts, digital media and collective piece development. Through independent artistic creation, the collective produces works that combine artistic research with a joy of performance, humour and an open rehearsal process. A central component of their artistic practice is the ‘Aesthetics of Access’ approach. In collaboration with the access dramaturg Sabine Kuxdorf, the collective has so far developed several productions featuring creative, integrated audio description, which are aimed equally at sighted, visually impaired and blind audiences and regard accessibility as an aesthetic principle. In terms of content, Sticky Fragments frequently explore queer-feminist and anti-capitalist themes, envisioning speculative futures that navigate the realms of resistance, intimacy and collective imagination. Since 2021, the company has realised a series of works, including *Wenn wir Glück haben, dann löst es uns ganz auf* ( 2021), *Choking on Stardust* ( 2022), *try to catch a falling knife* ( 2023), *Ungirling* ( 2024), *In the end I need a hug* ( 2024), *Minor Glitch* ( 2024) and *PowerStrangers – touching the not yet* ( 2025). *Ghost Me, If You Can* (2026) marks the company’s first musical theatre production. The productions have been staged at venues including the Theater im Depot in Dortmund, the Zeche Zollverein, K21 in Düsseldorf, Barnes Crossing in Cologne, the Maschinenhaus in Essen, the Museum Folkwang in Essen and the ZeitZeugFestival in Bochum. The core team consists of Meret König, Valentin Schwerdfeger and Charlie Wyrsch, and collaborates on a project-by-project basis with artists from various disciplines.
