Maximilian Kuhn

Following a one-year internship at the Theater Rampe in Stuttgart, Maximilian Kuhn studied theatre studies, art history, music theory and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin. As an Elsa Neumann Fellow funded by the State of Berlin, he conducted research at the university’s Institute of Philosophy on ‘Scenes of Theory – Theories of the Scene’ and published various texts, including an essay on Hannah Arendt’s Brecht essays as a contribution to ‘Baustelle Brecht 24’ in the Literaturforum at the Brecht-Haus.

He gained practical experience in musical theatre through work placements at the Stuttgart State Opera and the Komische Oper Berlin. As a dramaturgical assistant, he worked on Marco Štorman’s production of Richard Wagner’s *Götterdämmerung* at the Stuttgart State Opera. From 23–24, he worked there as a freelancer, including on the “Spring Festival #5: Spiel ohne Grenzen’ and as production dramaturg for the participatory music-theatre performance ‘Rise or Fall – The Live Music Game Show with V-Effect’ based on Philip Venables’ ‘Game Show Music’.

From the 26–27 season, Maximilian Kuhn will be a dramaturg at the MiR.
