Martin Hickmann

Martin Hickmann is a trained sculptor and sound engineer and studied stage and costume design at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

As a set designer, he has worked at venues such as the MusikTheater an der Wien, the Staatstheater Nürnberg, the Staatsoper Hannover, the Staatstheater Mainz, the Konzert- und Theater St. Gallen, the Saarländisches Staatstheater and the Theater Magdeburg.

Martin Hickmann has designed exhibition spaces at the Museumsquartier in Vienna, the Museum der Moderne in Salzburg and Mediamatic in Amsterdam. He also creates set designs and sound design for films.

He plays bass and experimental electronic music in the band Ever Given and works as a freelance visual artist.
