Juri Höhne
FSJ Culture
Juri Höhne completed a voluntary cultural service year (FSJ-Kultur) at MiR.LAB during the 2024/25 season. He was part of the MiR.LAB team for a year and, through his involvement in various productions – including *The Imaginary King Schnötzelfrötz* (BaRockOper, dir: Dominik Hallerbach), the shy intern at the Institute for Immortality Research (Plenty of Immortality, dir: Nora Krahl), the drag queen Mama L’heur(e) (Drag Your Self, dir: Ms Foxy Bless), Moire 2, who stumbles in high heels (Goddesses, dir: Nora Krahl), and a Gelsenkirchen-based wannabe influencer (Instagram: @mirlab.digital). In return, he gifted MiR.LAB a small fish with a big appetite, the Smurf, Klaus and the Elegant One.
Juri is now studying physical theatre in Switzerland, to which, as he says, Gelsenkirchen has made a significant contribution. He still sometimes dreams of the LAB, of the stattWerkSTADT, of games and discussions, and of popping round again one day.
