Heejin Kim
Singer
Heejin Kim, born in Incheon, South Korea, gained her first experience of singing at an early age in the Incheon State Children’s Choir. At the age of 15, she began taking singing lessons, followed by a Bachelor’s degree at Myongji University under Prof. Misuk Yu. At the same time, she worked as a voice coach and performed as a soloist at various concerts. In 2017, she completed a masterclass with Prof. Snezana Stamenkovic. Since the 2017/18 winter semester, she has been studying at the Freiburg University of Music, initially with Angela Nick and, from the 2019 summer semester, with Prof. Mareike Morr. In February 2020, she completed her Master’s degree and, since April 2020, has been continuing her studies towards a concert examination. Heejin Kim was a scholarship holder of the Helene Rosenberg Foundation in 2018 and has attracted attention through numerous solo performances during her studies in Germany.
