Douglas Oliveira

Douglas Oliveira is from Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He began his dance training at the Juliana Diuana Escola de Dança at the age of 16. In 2022, he completed his training at the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver under the guidance of Chan Hon Goh, having been awarded a full scholarship. After graduating, he joined the dance company ‘Cas Public’ in Montreal, Canada, where he worked under the direction of Hélène Blackburn from 2022 to 2024. During this time, he performed with the company both nationally and internationally. He also danced with Joshua Beamish/MOVETHECOMPANY and was given the opportunity to take part in the summer programme of the renowned “Alonzo King LINES Ballet” on a full scholarship. Since the 24/25 season, Douglas Oliveira has been a member of the MiR Dance Company at the Musiktheater im Revier. For the 26/27 season, he will remain with the Gelsenkirchen-based company, now known as TanzGelsenkirchen and led by Muhammed Kaltuk.
