Carlo Silvester Duer

Carlo Silvester Duer, born in Munich, completed his degree in Contemporary Puppetry in 2022 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. Whilst still a student, he began his engagement at the tjg. theater junge generation in Dresden in 2020. There, he worked until 2024 with directors such as Nis Søgaard, Katharina Kummer, Nils Zapfe, Astrid Griesbach and Christoph Levermann. His pre-diploma production ‘she is fine’, which offered a critical examination of the Anthropocene era, won him several awards, including first prize at the 2020 Freisprung Festival MV in Rostock. Since the 2023/24 season, Carlo Silvester Duer has been working as a freelance puppeteer and actor. He stages his own productions and is engaged as a guest performer at theatres.
