Anna von der Heide

Following work placements in various areas of theatre, Anna von der Heide completed an apprenticeship as a ladies’ tailor in Düsseldorf in 2013. From the 2016/2017 season onwards, she joined the world’s oldest municipal theatre, the Mittelsächsisches Theater in Freiberg, as a permanent menswear tailor. Following the merger with the Theater Döbeln and the open-air stage in Kriebstein, which hosts performances in the summer, she has always worked on several productions and at various venues simultaneously. From the 2017/18 season onwards, Anna was also employed as a costume assistant, looking after in particular the open-air stage in Kriebstein and the stage set up in the castle courtyard for the summer. From 2017 to 2021, Anna also appeared on stage in several musical productions at the Theater Döbeln. After stepping in for an absent cast member in the ensemble role of the vampire girl in *Dracula*, this sparked her passion for working not only behind the scenes but also on stage. In *The Three Musketeers*, she was then cast in a variety of ensemble roles, taking on a whirlwind of parts. She also took charge of the musical’s entire costume design as the costume designer. She played D’Artagnan’s little sister, the first barmaid and the role of the horse Pomme de terre. She also danced and sang in all the ensemble numbers – sometimes even as Pomme de terre, when there wasn’t enough time to change costumes.

Since the 2021/22 season, Anna has been an integral part of the MiR team as a costume design assistant. In 2022 and 2023, Anna worked as a costume designer on the dance project MOVE!, which involved over 150 children and young people and featured the MiR Dance Company. For the opera *Fidelio Schweigt* (23/24), she worked as a member of the team led by costume and set designer Falko Herold on the production of the German premiere.
